This is a great healthy breakfast, very popular breakfast throughout Switzerland and Germany. You can add anything you want, below recipe is just a starting point. It keeps very well so you can make some on Sunday night and enjoy it all week!

2 cups rolled oats
1 green apple, chopped
1 cup milk
1 cup plain yogurt
1 banana, chopped
¼ cup raisins
1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
1 tablespoon slivered almonds
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon orange juice

  • Mix oats, apple, milk, yogurt, banana, raisins, walnuts, almonds, brown sugar, honey, and orange juice together in a bowl.
  • Chill in refrigerator for at least 1 hour to set.
  • Top with your favorite fruits and nuts.
