One of my favorite Turkish dishes. It is fun to eat the small peas, carrots, and potatoes. Serve with rice or bulgur pilaf.
150 gr lamb cubes
500 gr peas
2 tablespoon olive oil
2 potatoes, diced
2 carrots, diced
2 tomatoes, diced
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 tablespoon pepper paste
Salt
Pepper
- Cook the lamb cubes with its own juice.
- After all the water evaporates, add rest of the ingredients with water. Water should barely cover the ingredients. Don’t add too much water, it is not soup!
- Cover the lid and cook for 35 minutes until the beans become soft (but not too much) over medium heat. If necessary add more hot water.
